Cricket Betting at sixs 6 — Tigers Matches to the World Cup
Cricket is Bangladesh's most popular sport. At sixs 6 you can bet on markets ranging from Match Winner to Toss, Top Batsman and Over/Under. Live in-play odds update with every wicket.
Three Cricket Formats and Major Tournaments
T20 — Fast and Exciting
BPL IPL T20 World CupEach team plays just 20 overs. The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and IPL are played in this format. Match results can swing quickly, so there is a betting opportunity on almost every ball. The T20 World Cup brings international teams together on the same stage.
ODI — The Fifty-Over Contest
ICC Asia Cup Bilateral SeriesIn One Day Internationals, each innings consists of 50 overs. The Bangladesh Tigers are regular competitors at ICC events. Markets such as Toss, First Innings Runs and Top Batsman are very popular in this format.
Test — A Game of Patience
5 Days Bilateral ICC World TestIn five-day Test cricket, match situations change slowly. A draw is a valid result here, making the betting markets different. Test betting includes markets such as total runs, number of wickets and which innings will produce more runs.
BPL, IPL and International Matches
For fans in Bangladesh, BPL means a home-ground celebration. Every season, discussion about team rivalries reaches its peak. Bangladeshi players also feature in IPL. Across the country there is great interest in the Tigers' matches at the T20 World Cup and ICC events.
sixs 6 offers multiple betting markets for matches in these tournaments. Not just Match Winner — options like runs per over and individual batsman performance are available too.
Football and Other Sports Betting
Alongside cricket, you can also bet on football at sixs 6. Major league matches from around the world — European Championships, international friendlies and FIFA World Cup qualifiers — have betting markets that work a little differently from cricket.
In football, a draw is a common result, so the market has three options: win, draw or lose — known as "1X2". In cricket's T20 or ODI format there is generally no draw (except in Test), so only one of the two teams can win. Understanding this key difference makes it easier to analyse the markets for both sports.
In other sports — such as tennis, kabaddi or badminton — the betting structure differs, but the basic method of reading odds remains the same. At sixs 6, through sixs 6 Bet, you can bet on multiple sports from the same account.
Cricket vs Football Betting
Popular Betting Markets and Examples
It helps to understand how each market in cricket betting works. Below are seven main markets explained in plain language.
Match Winner
Pick which team will win. Example: Team A vs Team B — you think Team B will win, so you bet on Team B. If Team B wins, your bet is successful.
Toss Winner
Which team wins the toss before the match starts. This is a completely independent event — unrelated to the match result. The odds for both teams are usually close.
Top Batsman
Who will score the most runs for a specific team? Example: there are three batsmen for Team A — you pick one. If that batsman scores the most runs, you win the bet.
Total Runs Over/Under
Will the total runs in a match or a specific innings be above (over) or below (under) a set number? Example: the line for the first innings is 165 runs — if you choose over, the bet wins if 166 or more runs are scored.
Multi Bet
Multiple selections combined into one bet. If all selections are correct, the odds multiply to give a larger return. If even one is wrong, the entire bet loses. See the odds section below for a detailed example.
Powerplay Runs
You can bet on how many runs will be scored during the Powerplay overs in a T20 or ODI. Fielding restrictions apply in the Powerplay, so the run rate is generally higher.
Handicap Betting
The stronger team is artificially set back. For example, if Team A is given a −30 run handicap, they must win by more than 30 runs for the handicap bet to succeed. If you bet on the weaker team, you can still win even if they lose by a small margin.
How to Read Odds — Three Formats
Betting odds are shown in three different formats — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same probability, just written differently.
| Format | If Team A wins | If Team B wins (favourite) | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | 1.80 | Easiest — multiply by your stake |
| Fractional | 3/2 | 4/5 | British style — shows profit |
| American | +150 | -125 | + means profit on a ৳100 bet; − means how much to bet to make ৳100 profit |
Example 1 — Betting on Team A to win (৳500 bet)
Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150. If the bet wins, you get back ৳1,250 (৳750 profit + ৳500 original stake). If the bet loses, ৳500 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B is favourite (৳500 bet)
Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American −125. American minus odds show how much you need to bet to make ৳100 profit. On a ৳500 bet, if you win, total return is ৳900 (৳400 profit).
Odds multiply in a multi bet: if three selections have decimal odds of 1.60, 1.70 and 1.80, the combined odds are 1.60 × 1.70 × 1.80 = 4.90 (approximately). On a ৳100 bet, if all three selections win, the return is ৳490. If any one loses, the full ৳100 is gone.
Live In-Play Betting — New Opportunity on Every Ball
The ability to place bets while a match is in progress is what sets live betting apart. When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds lengthen immediately; when many runs come in the Powerplay, the total Over/Under line shifts.
Decisions in live betting need to be made quickly, as odds change frequently. Between overs or between balls, the betting window is often closed briefly.
Live betting is straightforward on the sixs 6 mobile app — the scorecard and odds are visible on the same screen. Both Android and iOS versions are available through the official channel.
Some Useful Tips for Cricket Betting
Betting is for entertainment — it is not a source of income. Even so, a few simple habits help keep the experience positive.
Set a budget first
Decide how much you will put in for each match beforehand. Avoid the urge to bet more after a loss. Take a moment to read the responsible gaming policy.
Start with one market
Begin by getting comfortable with just the Match Winner market. It is better not to bet on several complex markets at the same time, especially for newcomers.
Consider pitch and weather conditions
Rain can shorten a match or cause it to be abandoned. On spin-friendly pitches, spinners take more wickets — this is relevant for the Top Bowler market.
Be careful with multi bets
Multi bets offer higher returns but also higher risk — if any selection is wrong, the whole bet is lost. It is safer to stick to two or three selections at most.
Know the rules
Understand the betting terms before you start — wagering requirements, bonus eligibility and bet cancellation rules. All details are available on the terms and conditions page.
Keep in mind
Betting is entertainment. Winning and losing are both part of the game. Betting should be enjoyable, not stressful.

Betting Exchange — What are Back and Lay?
In regular betting you bet against the bookmaker. In an exchange you bet against other players — there are two roles: BACK and LAY.
BACK — For the team
If you BACK Team A at decimal odds of 2.00 — and Team A wins, you make ৳500 profit on a ৳500 bet (minus commission). If they lose, ৳500 is gone.
LAY — Against the team
If you LAY Team A, your liability on a ৳500 backer's stake is ৳500. If Team A does not win, you make ৳500 profit (minus commission); if they do win, you pay out ৳500.
In exchange betting, a commission is usually deducted from each winning bet. The full rules are set out in detail on the site.
